Bio: Brother Ostergar was born near Blackfoot, Idaho  and served a full-time mission in Brazil. He received a masters degree in Public Administration from BYU. He was the administrative director at the Missionary  Training Center  in Provo, Utah from 1970-2003. During this time he had responsibility for the operation and missionary training at the Church's 17 MTCs worldwide. He served as the President of the Kentucky Louisville Mission from 1984-1987 and as president of the Brazil MTC from 2003-2006. He also served as a bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, and stake president of the BYU 10th Stake. He is the recipient of the distinguished Alumni Award from BYU-Idaho. He is married to Nancy Ostergar  and they have 9 children.

Courses Taught:
Book of Mormon, Sharing the Gospel.

Areas of Expertise:
Missionary Preparation, language training, and teacher training.
