Bio: Raised in Cardston, Alberta. Attended the University of Lethbridge. Served in the French East Mission (1967–1969). Bachelor's degree from BYU in pre-law. Worked in the Church Educational System (1973–1991). Master's degree from BYU in International Relations. Ph.D. from BYU in Educational Philosophy and Leadership. BYU Department of Ancient Scripture (1991–present)
